Adopting and getting started with any of our webtexts takes just a few moments and is free for the instructor.

If your students would benefit from some modifications to your webtext, give us a call. Our help desk can work with you to rearrange chapters, add new content, and delete assignments.
Just a few of our courses are highly customized based on your institution, such as Freshman Composition. In this case, once you make an account and select your webtext, we will contact you to select readings and organize the webtext to match your syllabus perfectly.
How will students access the webtext?
Your students go to soomopublishing.com and create an account. We will provide you with a one-page Getting Started Guide to distribute on the first day of class.
After creating an account, they will find your course by choosing state, school, professor, section. Once they’ve selected your course, each student purchases their subscription on our website using a credit or debit card.
What about the campus bookstore?
We are happy to work with your bookstore. Bookstores often deliver a valuable service to students by providing one-stop convenience and coordination with financial aid. In exchange for this service, they mark up the price. In the bookstore, you may find that the $50 webtext will cost between $65 and $75 dollars to students. If this is how you would like your students to purchase access, let us know. We’ll give you the information to deliver to your bookstore. They’ll order virtual or physical passkeys from us to sell in the store. Once purchased, students will follow the regular registration process on our site. When it comes time to pay, they will select “pay by passkey” and enter the code.
What if my school pays for texts?
If your schools pays for student texts, we will make your course free to enrolled students, and work out payment terms with your administration. Just connect us with the right office.
What about Blackboard, et al.?
If you would like your webtext integrated with your school’s course management system, we can help. Simply put us in touch with your IT department and we’ll work out the rest to ensure single-sign-on access for students and gradebook integration before the semester starts.
What if students need help logging in or accessing assignments?
Our help desk provides support directly to students so you don’t have to. They can email, call, or live chat with us at any time.
