Service appears to be operating normally again. According to our hosting partner, the interruption in service was due to an issue related to connectivity loss from Level 3 in Phoenix to AT&T in Detroit.

Users should once again be able to access all Soomo courses. If you are having problems, please contact support.

We are continuing to experience a slowdown in general internet speed due to a problem with backbone provider, Level 3. They have a problem on their backbone trunk between Detroit and Phoenix.

We are continuing to have problems due to network issues for some of our courses. Users will experience very slow connections or be unable to access the following titles:

  • Americans Governing
  • Between Nations
  • Comparing Governments
  • Central Ideas in American Government

What does “network issue” mean? Tom Meeks, VP of Customer Satisfaction, puts it this way.

“It’s not an issue with servers or hard drives, but the pipes that route data between servers and users.” We’ll continue to update until the issue is resolved.

Some users may be experiencing difficulties connecting to their Soomo courses, due to our host having network issues. We are investigating the problem and will keep you updated.

We are currently experiencing an interruption in service for the Soomo Learning Environment. Users are currently unable to access the following courses:

  • Critical Thinking – AB-Tech
  • Western Governors courses except GKE and AZC

We are investigating the problem and will post updates every 15 minutes until service is restored.
